About Us
Emma has worked in the environmental sector for fifteen years, during which time she has gained a wealth of experience and expertise. She has a BSc Geology from the University of Edinburgh and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management with the Open University. Emma has managed the ecological assessments for a number of large development projects; in addition to a range of residential and bridge schemes. Emma has wide-ranging experience of protected mammal species surveys, including extensive bat, otter, pine marten and red squirrel survey work and has been surveying breeding birds for 10 years. Emma is a licensed bat ecologist, Phase 1 habitat surveyor, a qualified tree inspector, and has a background in tree regeneration monitoring and vegetation surveys. She has excellent report writing skills and is practised in protected species licence applications. Prior to her consultancy experience Emma worked on a number of survey and monitoring projects for a conservation charity in locations across Scotland, with a concentration of projects in Highland Perthshire.
